Every event already shows the accessibility features an organiser has told us about. ATFY Verified is a tick on top of that — a category we've physically checked at the venue, in person, and can vouch for.
A venue never gets marked as "failed." A category that hasn't been checked yet, or didn't hold up on a visit, simply isn't badged — the organiser's own claim keeps showing exactly as before, just without our tick next to it. Every badge shown carries the date it was checked, who checked it, and exactly what was covered.
Step-free routes, accessible parking, door widths, accessible toilets, lifts.
Dementia Friends-trained staff, a named quiet space, clear signage, consistent flooring.
Free or reduced carer entry, seating together, no time-limit penalties.
Hand sanitiser at the entrance, a written illness/reschedule policy, off-peak slots.
Accessibility info that's easy to find, a direct contact route for access questions.
A first-aid trained staff member on shift, a disclosed defibrillator location.
A working induction hearing loop, checked in person.
If a badge doesn't match what you found at a venue, tell us — every event and venue page has a "Report a problem" link, and no account is needed to use it.
An ATFY Verified badge is a point-in-time check, not a guarantee of a venue's condition on any other day, not a safety or fire certification, and not a statement about Equality Act 2010 compliance. Always confirm your own needs with the organiser directly.
