Setting Up Your Care Circle: A Quick Start Guide

Everything you need to know to create your care circle, invite family members, and start coordinating care in minutes.

What is a care circle?

A care circle is your trusted group of family members and friends who are involved in caring for a loved one. In Always There For You, the care circle is the foundation of everything — shared calendars, care requests, health tracking, and messaging all revolve around it.

Creating your circle

Setting up takes less than two minutes:

  1. Download the app and create your account
  2. Tap "Create Care Circle" and give it a name (e.g., "Mum's Care Circle")
  3. Add details about the person receiving care
  4. Share the invite link with family members

That's it. Once members join, everyone can start posting care requests, sharing updates, and accessing health information.

Who should be in your circle?

Include anyone who plays a role in your loved one's care:

  • Siblings and children
  • Partners and spouses
  • Close friends who help regularly
  • Paid carers (with appropriate permissions)

Each member can have different roles and permissions, so you control who sees what.

Your first week

Start small. In your first week, try:

  • Adding your loved one's medications to the shared list
  • Posting one care request and having someone claim it
  • Sharing a photo or memory in the group
  • Setting up a recurring appointment on the shared calendar

You don't need to use every feature from day one. Start with what's most urgent for your family and build from there.
